FILA KOREA AND MIRAE CLOSE DEAL
Acushnet Company announced that the transaction for its sale from Fortune Brands, Inc. to a consortium led by Fila Korea, Ltd. and Mirae Asset Private Equity, was completed Friday, July 29. The sale was announced on May 20.
Acushnet Company is one of the largest golf equipment companies in the world with annual sales of more than $1.2 billion in 2010. Its premium brands include Titleist, the #1 ball in golf and a leader in high performance golf clubs, and FootJoy, the #1 shoe, glove andperformance outerwear brand in golf.

CALLAWAY REPORTS 2ND QUARTER NET SALES

NORTHWAY 8 BIG BUSINESS FOR FATHER’S DAY

The world of golf is absolutely flooded with drivers of all sorts, each one claiming to be better than the competition, as well as being better than the prior-year’s product. How is one supposed to choose the right driver for their game?
Perhaps going along with the current fad of getting a “fitting” could help to explain which driver would be best for you. Sometimes though, not all of us want to get a fitting or, like most golfers, we may realize that our swing today might be different than our swing tomorrow. TaylorMade has realized this quandary and developed a line of drivers that allows golfers to – for lack of a better term – conduct their own “fittings.”
