The New York State Golf Association will hold a free rules seminar at Mohawk Golf Club on Saturday, May 6. It will be the fourth of the stops around the state as the 2017 golf season gets underway. It runs from 9:30AM to noon.
We expect there will be a lot of questions on the proposed changes put out by the USGA and the Royal & Ancient last month under the USGA’s Rules Modernization Initiative. The seminars are taught by experienced rules officials utilizing professionally-produced, interactive videos that cover common situations players encounter during play. Instructors will also cover the proposed Rules changes recently announced by the USGA.
Click here for more information from the NYSGA. It’s free but you must register ahead of time. All attendees will get a complimentary copy of the Rules of Golf, be entered in a raffle for Rules-related prizes, and a continental breakfast during registration.
There will be three other seminars held around the state. Registration begins at 9AM at each spot and the presentation begins at 9:30AM and ends at 12PM.
